Cave Hotel my birthday weekend stay- 2021 & 2022

As promised in my last catch up post I have come on today to post all about my stay in the 'Cave Hotel'. I am very lucky enough to live near to the hotel and since it opened back in November 2019 we have visited three times. Twice in 2021 (October for my 31st  birthday, December for an early Christmas present) & last Friday (14.10.22) for my 32nd birthday. I have to admit each stay has been just as amazing as each other but all very different, we have had different rooms and views each stay. So let me take you through to talk about the facilities they have on offer and to share some of my personal photographs of my trips.

Where is it & what is it....

The Cave hotel as mentioned above is a large Apex hotel complex complete with a 6591 yard golf course, hydra pool & spa, 2 restaurants with a bar/lounge area and an outside covered decking area which is open all year round. Then you have the 41 rooms include the star of the show the penthouse.

The hotel also caters for weddings & other functions throughout the year with its own separate marquee for events away from the main hotel.

Lets talk about the rooms...

There are 41 rooms- you have the standard rooms called the 'Cave room' these come with either a golf course view or a view of the bar. If you can get one go for the golf course view it is breath taking.
You then have the more superior and expensive types ranging from 'junior suites, signature suites, bridal suite and then the famous penthouse'- which is pricey at thousands a night.

All rooms come with the signature  super king beds, a lovely fur throw & pillows, coffee machine and massive flat screen tv. You usually get an en suite shower and it is very modern. Some rooms also get their own garden area with a door to access the golf course on the ground floor.

Prices vary depending on the rooms and times of years- you can expect holiday periods and summer periods to be exclusively more expensive. Another thing to also note is Weekends are significantly more expensive with most standard rooms at a rate of between £350-500 per night. All information on rooms and pricing can be found on their website here...

The good stuff..

Now lets get on to the good stuff the restaurants and bars.
In total the hotel has two dining restaurants on site- a fine dining restaurant called 'The fire pit' which serves luxury Asian inspired cuisine. This restaurant can be accessed via the lifts in the reception area. The menu is a sharing menu with 'picky' small plates brought out in different serving times. It is a uniquely brilliant way to experience a little bit of all the cuisine. I recommend the sticky egg friend rice and the filet steak with the side of veg- it was to die for & there is something for everyone even the most pickiest of eaters amongst us enjoyed this meal.

They have an extensive cocktails and wine menu with prices fairly reasonable from around £30.00 for a house bottle of Pinot and £15.00 each for their signature cocktails. I recommend their honeybee espresso martini as an after dinner treat.

Their second restaurant is situated in a separate building a short walk from the main hotel rooms round the back next to the cow girl lounge bar area & is called Korean Cow girl- this restaurant is a little more relaxed out of the two and a lot less expensive. If smokehouse is your thing you will love this restaurant they pride themselves on their Smokey BBQ treats. I have dined in both restaurants and would say this is great if you are with friends and looking to grab a quick bite to eat with a drink. If you are celebrating an occasion or on a date I would definitely prefer the firepit as it is a bit more romantic and the food is a lot more luxurious. Both are excellent and the menu's serve some great options for both meat eaters and non.

Where the cowgirl is situated they also have a massive open air decking area which is covered and has lovely heaters and blankets with firepits. It is so nice to come at sit out here and have a few drinks either day or evening. We love nothing more than cosying up under the blankets with the fires on with a glass of red. The bar areas are both so special and really set you up for an enjoyable stay.

Other facilities on site also include the spa and pool area & gym- i must admit each stay we went we didn't use these facilities due to the over crowding and covid BUT the use of these rooms are free when staying at the hotel and they do look amazing and just as luxurious as the rest of the hotel. It looks very relaxing and on our next stay I promise to try these areas out and report back.

Finally I couldn't write this post and not mention their extremely impressive golf course situated on acres of the land and overlooking the entire hotel. There is a fee to play here and is not included in the stay but it is extremely reasonable. You often also get members playing who are not staying in the hotel. During peak times it can get extremely busy so bear in mind when booking. The course is impressive and I recommend having a game whilst you stay.

So there we have a little glimpse into one of my favorite new hotels on the block. The Cave Hotel situated in Faversham.
I am sure we will be back very soon with more stories to tell.
