First things first, if you are thinking about visiting Barcelona do make sure you take a look at the trip advisor website as it not only gives great advice on tourism in Barcelona but it also offers some great accommodation deals which will help you plan your up and coming trip.

What to see and do....
The city of Barcelona is notably another popular European destination amongst couples old and young. Possibly due to its picturesque cultural landscapes and scenic views. In this section I am going to briefly run through a few things to see and do with your partner/romantic love interests which will make your trip even more memorable.

#1 Sagrada Familia
Possibily one of if not the most well known and visited landmarks in Barcelona.

This church which was designed by famous architect Antonio Gaudi holds a lot of cultural history. It was designed to have twelve towers (100-115 m high) and  was based on a 'Gothic basilical plan in the shape of a Latin cross' so visually the church itself is very powerful and striking.

The Sagrada Familia situated in the Calle Mallorca part of the city is open to the general public all year round with general admissions priced from around 13 Euros. This famous landmark now represents Barcelona to the millions of tourists who visit and those who come to study its architecture, so be sure to add this into your travel plans when you escape to the city.

#2 L'Aquarium de Barcelona

Another popular attraction amongst tourists is the Aquarium in Barcelona. Although many wouldn't necessarily say this is a famous landmark of the city I think a trip to the aquarium is a perfect alternative date for the day time and definitely worth a visit.

The aquarium itself is considered the biggest in Europe, there are several different under water areas to admire including The Mediterranean Sea Life, Tropical waters of the Red sea and the Great Barrier Reef as well as an Oceanarium complete with an 80 m under water tunnel.

For more information and for links to photo galleries of this Aquarium please visit the website.

#3 La Rambla- Barcelona's most famous street

If you are a couple who love exploring the outdoors and getting lost in your own mini adventures a walk down Barcelona's most famous street La Rambla could be a perfect moment between you and your someone special...

Why not book yourselves into one of the streets hotels, a perfect locations for a romantic get away. Or indulge in some authentic  Spanish Tapas outside in one of the many Spanish style restaurants on the strip.

There are thousands of things to see and do here and you will be spoiled for choice so make sure you plan well in advance to make sure you fit as much as you can in.
