-'Festival de México'-MEXICO CITY-

Scattered across the entire city this 50 plus venue festival held in mid March, comes together to for a two weeks to celebrate all it's Mexican Arts which include Music, Dance, Theatre and its Opera.
Most of the events take place in downtown Historic Centre. This is said to be one of the biggest internationally celebrated festivals in South America, attracting millions of tourists and visitors each year.

To get more information about what places to visit if you are planning your trip make sure you check out this website which is really helpful you can find it here.

-'Diwali' (The Festival of Lights), Mumbai- INDIA-

This is a very famous well known and religious festival celebrated during 15th day of the Indian Lunar month of Kartika (October/November). This festival is a celebration of light and is very special in Mumbai where it is held annually. It is a Hindu festival with a very special religious background (to read why this festival is celebrated you can get more info here) It brings together many from the Hindu religion and is a very colourful, happy and spiritual festival.

There are lots of different festivals and events happening this month and I really hope that you get to experience some of the greats. The ones I particularly recommend are the small alternative festivals which are seriously under-rated but definitely worth the visit.  So why not grab your friends for a weekend of festival fun!

You can plan which festivals you want to visit by going onto this brilliant website which is packed full of ideas and it even gives you a month by month festival guide which is really handy for those of you who love planning your trips months in advance.
So give it a little look and happy Festivalling!
