The winter is in full swing now- oh boo! and snow is on its way in England as of next week.. I know I'm not the only one dreaming of a white Christmas this year, but what about those of you who love soaking up all that hot sun? Well if you are one of these people look no further than Egypt!

Egypt has become an increasingly popular holiday destination with more and more Brits packing their suitcases and heading for the pyramids. Ancient Egypt is one of the most sought places and everyone seems to be flocking to visit the capital. So I have put together a few different things to see and do whilst in Egypt.

If like me you have always been fascinated by the Ancient Egyptian history, the best places to visit once you are here really depends on where you are staying. A popular tourist destination for example somewhere like Sharm El Sheikh offers many attractions.

If you enjoy water activities why not try scuba diving at Tiran Island, then head to one of the little island cafe's for a spot of lunch by the water. You can find some great day excursion trips online. To get more info, to book and to read reviews click HERE

If you are looking for more relaxing way to spend a day but would quite like still be surrounded by the water why not take a trip to the Melia Sharm Resort & Spa. As well as indulging in some calming spa treatments you can also swim and take full advantage of the sauna the spa has to offer.

Looking for something a little less water related? Egypt has loads to offer. If shopping is your kind of thing make sure you check out SOHO Square, situated on White Knight Beach in Sharm El Sheikh, this late night shopping centre is described as the shop-aholic's middle eastern mecca.   The best time to visit is at night, where the entire square is lit up (like Vegas) it has so many great facilities including entertainment, clubbing, shopping and restaurants. There is so much to do here, suitable for many ages. (If you are taking children with you make sure you check out the kids arcade)

Looking for someone to eat? whether you are looking for some where to grab a bite of lunch or a sit down restaurant meal there are lots of fantastic options available in Egypt.

Missing home? Why not head to British joint Union Jack Bar and Restaurant this delightful little place can be found in Sharm bridge hotel and offers great value English meals. It has a great friendly, family atmosphere and if that's not all it was also awarded the 2013 Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are exploring the area.
