Tenerife||Part One

If you have been following my blog recently you will hopefully know that on the 25th of August- 3rd September I spent a lovely 10 days in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.  Although I had an amazing and very relaxing holiday I am a little sad to be home and really miss the hotel we stayed in. It is business as usual here for me back in London but that isn't stopping me from wanting to share with you all the lovely memories I made.  We managed to pack quite a lot into our little break away, and still found lots of time to relax and chill in the hotel by the pool and on the beach, here is the first instalment of  a daily account of what we got up to a few weeks ago! Enjoy....

-Day One-

We arrived at our beautiful hotel at 5pm in the evening. We drove up in a taxi to the most beautiful inside car park I have ever seen (as seen in photos below) I felt like I was in another world, it was so grand and the whole place was very quiet all you could hear is the slight trickling of the fountain. It was bliss and this is the moment I knew I was going to have a very relaxing 10 days.

You can really get the feel for the place just by looking at the photos. I even managed to take one of the ceiling (below) so you can see exactly what the place is made of. I thought this place was beautiful and couldn't wait to see the hotel inside.

So once we were all checked in the porter took us up in the lift to our room on the 3rd floor. It was a nice little walk to get to our room with lots of lovely little corridors, stairs and seating areas to explore (or get lost in once I'd had a bit too much wine at dinner).
Here are some of photos I took on my walks to and from our room.

When we entered our room I was blown away, we were supposed to be staying in a standard junior room but luckily for us the hotel had run out of rooms so gave us a free upgrade to the superior suite with a sea view!- Lucky definitely was on our side that night, here are some beautiful photos I got of our hotel room and the stunning view we were treated to.

Our own private terrace with amazing views of the beach

Check out that view!

Looking out onto the beach....

As I am sure you can tell by the gorgeous photographs I didn't want to leave my room all week, It was perfect a room fit for a princess! We decided to explore the hotel a bit more as we were starting to get hungry and very thirsty. There was lots of lovely places to eat and drink at our hotel and our first stop off was the lovely bar area which is over looking the swimming pool.

We tried a couple of delicious cocktails from the menu and then proceeded to hunt some food down.

Unfortunately as we got there just before they were serving dinner we were too late to book ourselves in the A La Carte restaurant (which we had heard amazing things about) there was 2 other restaurants to choose from a buffet style and a more casual restaurant right adjacent to the bar area.  I suggested that we had a little explore first and see what was about.  We found the beauty centre in our hotel and a shopping centre (two things I was extremely pleased about). The Beauty centre was closed for the day but the Shopping Centre with all the little boutique shops stayed open right up until at least 11pm each night.

Outside the Beauty Centre
After eventually being prized away from all the lovely little shops we found somewhere that was still serving food along the beach right next to our hotel. We were quite tired from the travelling so skipped drinks and headed to our room ready to see what the next day would bring.

-Day Two-

We awoke the smell of Breakfast below us and quickly nipped down just in time for the new buffet which had just been laid out. Once breakfast was over we came back up and got ready in our swim stuff and headed back down to the main pool area where the sun beds were ready and waiting for us.

We were beginning to find our feet now and had a very relaxing and chilled day. (We may have slightly got a bit burnt as well) Once we had lunch at the bar in the hotel we then decided what we wanted to do in the evening. We decided not to venture too far on the island so just stayed by the beach instead and had dinner in one of the huts along the beach front. It was lovely and very quiet a perfect way to end a chilled Wednesday.

-Day Three-

Day three started off again pretty much like day two. Chilling by the pool sunbathing, swimming and of course eating and drinking. This was the day we really got the feel for the hotel, and were really beginning to enjoy our new little home for the 10 days.  We decided to venture into Playa de las Americas in the evening. We were recommended by friends of ours to check out a lovely Italian place called Bianco's situated in the popular Safari shopping centre.

I didn't manage to get any photos of the restuarant itself but if you are in the area you should definitely check it out. It was lovely and the Pizza's are some of the best we had ever.

Once we finished up here we then headed to Magic bar across the street from the Safari Centre and right next door to the Hard Rock Cafe. Magic Bar is owned by the same group that owns Bianco's so at the end of your meal the lovely staff give you drinks vouchers for either a free glass of Cava or 50% off your first round of drinks.

That's the first instalment of the holiday done! Please come back soon for part 2 and to find out what we got up to next in Tenerife.
