Friday Favourites||15th April 2016

Haven't done one of these posts in a while so thought why not do one today. So we are around half way in the month and with pay day feeling very far off I thought I would do a little Friday Favourites post all about where I like to go out for after work drinks on a Friday and when I am trying to save the pennies.
As you all know by now I usually write about the finer things in life and never really do budget posts. Thought id change it up a bit this week and lets face it saving money cant hurt can it, especially while these next few money are going to be eventful (and expensive). For those not aware I am off to Vienna next weekend for my Boyfriends Birthday treat, very looking forward to sharing that with you, so for now I am trying to save save save.

Read on to find out where I like to go for a drink in the city in a budget.

The Rookery, Clapham Common

I discovered The Rookery in Clapham (Clapham Common to be precise) fairly recently on a work pub crawl. I love the fact that it is a pub with the style of a New York City bar. It mixes both the common with the cosmopolitan and I love it here. It's classy yet casual which is perfect for any day of the week. They also sell some great food as well.  My two favourite cocktails on the menu are the Pear and Prosecco cocktail £6.50 which I usually have during the start of the night & then I move on to their amazing Espresso Martini's which are £7.00 which I think is very reasonably priced compared to some places I have been to where I have paid £20.00 for 1 cocktail.

The Rookery is open Mon- Sat 5:30pm till Midnight
Sun 5:30pm till 10:30pm

London Cocktail Club, Various Locations In London

Happy Hour has arrived! I love this Cocktail chain (they have 7 bars across town), this was actually one of the first places me and my beau went on a date in Central London, we went to the one in Oxford Circus I do believe. We got involved in a cocktail master class they were holding there, and enjoyed every minute of it for £40.00 each we learnt so much and got to mix some amazing cocktails, and also got to try some made by the bar tenders. We stayed on afterwards for drinks and enjoyed their happy hour which is all day Monday then Tuesday-Saturday 4:30pm-7pm, the deal is two cocktails for £12.00, a bargain in our books. A couple of recommendations include their amazing Porn Star Martini's and their gorgeous creamy Pina Colada's.

Rum Kitchen, Soho

If you LOVE rum and Caribbean flavours you need to get yourself down to The Rum Kitchen tucked away in Carnaby Street. They do great Rum flavoured cocktails and also have Happy Hour  £5.00 cocktails Mon-Sun from 6-8pm. It does get very busy in here because of the location so it might be a good idea to try and get a table booked especially if you are bringing a lot of friends. Recommended Cocktails include Pineapple Fixe & Nacional.

Adventure Bar, Covent Garden

This place is great one to bring your girlfriends to, it is fun quirky and offers a great menu with great low prices too. This little gem can be found in the heart of Covent Garden, they also have venues in Clapham as well. The best thing about this place is it is very lively so if you fancy a little dance its a good place to go as there is a DJ here most weekends playing all sorts from house to r&b to pop. They do sharing cocktails for around £20.00 which is great between you all if you are on a bit of budget. Happy Hour cocktails are £6.00 each and they have quite a big menu which can be found on their website here.

So there we have a few of my favourite Cocktail Bars in London on a budget. If you have any other suggestions of places I haven't visited I would LOVE to hear about them below.
