Summers Holiday||Ibiza to Marbella
So as you may already know from reading my Friday Favourite post here I am off to Ibiza on the Balearic Islands next month and following my Ibiza trip I am then jetting straight off to Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Greedy some may say and yes I agree I want ALL the fun in the sun. As I have already told you all the deets about my up and coming trip to the Beefa, I thought it would only be fair to also let you in on a few secrets of what we plan to get up to in Marb's as well. So read on if you want to find out what is HOT in Marbella this month, and how we secured such a fantastic deal on our extended holiday!!
We have actually opted not to stay in Marbella itself- this is largely due to it being a last minute holiday and so most of the decent luxury 5 star hotels have actually been booked up! I am actually quite glad though because we are still near enough to all the action, and we get to explore other places along the way.
As mentioned above we actually booked our flights and hotel in with Easy Jet Holiday's and have managed to secure a 9 night stay in Estepona (which is just outside of Marbella) with return flights for under £2,000.00, which sounds like a lot but is actually a great deal because our hotel is a 5 star adults only resort.
Estepona is near to Puerto Banus (5 miles away) and also not far from Marbella. (7.5 miles away), so really we are getting a great luxury holiday which is near 3 different amazing places!
On average we have saved nearly £1,000 on the holiday as the flights are thrown into the deal. It really does pay to shop around before you jump on in!
Highlights of Senator Banus Spa Hotel :
Senator Banus Spa is an adults only hotel
Offers extensive Spa with indoor pool, steam bath, hot tub and aromatherapy showers
All rooms have a terrace with garden views.
Free wi-fi available.
2 Swimming pools outside
1 restaurant serving international and Mediterranean food.
1 piano bar
1 pool bar
24 hour room service
Itinerary
Besides the obvious sunbathing, swimming and drinking ALL the Cocktails the waiters are willing to throw my way, there are some other places and other things we want to try out whilst we are here.
As mentioned earlier on we are staying in Estepona which is a little further on from Marbella, this is where are planning to spend most of our evenings (and some days too, no doubt), we will also be spending lots of time at Puerto Banus too. Puerto Banus Marina and the area surrounding that especially.
As I have mentioned in a lot of detail on my Ibiza post all about the Beach Club concept ill leave it on this post, but the great thing about Marb's is they are full of them. They too have a Nikki Beach club here so we will definitely be coming down to hire a few beds, and compare between this one and the one in Ibiza.
Nikki Beach is situated a short drive to Costabella in nearby Elviria, and on the strech of the beach which makes up 'Playa Real de Zaragoza' this is a beach club not to be missed. It is also located opposite the Don Carlos Hotel. Renting the sun loungers are not cheap!! They can cost around 300 euros per day, but the place is lovely and spacious and you can just about get away with visiting without renting a bed.
Apart from all the amazing beaches in Marbella, I also really want to visit the boutique hotel Sisu (wanted to originally stay here, boyfriend said no-boohoo) for one of their epic pool parties and maybe grab a bite to eat here one evening. I hear this is where all the lot from the reality TV programme TOWIE (The Only Way is Essex) stay and party amongst other stars which have stayed here in the past. Hopefully on our visit we will catch of glimpse of some of the rich and famous and be able to get a few cheeky photos on the sly.
So there we have just a few ideas of places I want to check out whilst in Marbella. Notice how I haven't included any restaurants/bars in my post? Well that is because I want to keep some stuff a surprise for you!
We are starting our trip on Friday and I won't be back until the 16th of August. I will try and post the odd post here and there whilst out there, but can't promise I won't be having too much fun and forget! I will do one big post holiday write up when I am home, so please look out for that one.

Flights
We are flying from London to Ibiza a week before we head to Marbella, that was supposed to be our main holiday but after browsing some more online we have actually managed to secure a great deal from Easyjet for flights to Marbella straight after our holiday in Ibiza. I am not sure if the deal is currently on (as we did book a couple of months ago now) but if you book with Easy Jet Holidays, not only do you secure a better deal on a hotel you also get your flights thrown in with it. It is also all ATOL protected and they give you certificates to print off so you know everything is genuine should you run into any problems whilst there, you are always guaranteed a flight home with them. If you was to book the flights separately it would come to around £512.00 for a 9 night return back to London.
