I'm Engaged....14/02/2025 the day I will never forget.
Before I get cracking on my brand new series- I have some very very exciting personal news to share (I think the title gives it a way a little bit & my catch up post from a few weeks back, I couldn't help myself) that's right you heard it here first.... I AM OFFICIALLY ENGAGED, off the market, a Miss to a Mrs & I couldn't be more over the moon and happy to share our happy news with you all.
Those who have followed this blog for a long time will have heard me mention my boyfriend (well now soon to be husband!- that still doesn't feel real) quite a bit, We have shared a lot together since 2014 when we first met/started dating. We have shared 10 birthday's together (nearly 11) 6 houses, 1 dog, 4 jobs later (me) and a whole lot of covid in-between he finally put a ring on it! On Valentines day to be exact. In our brand new garden of our shared Edwardian period property we are both renovating (more on this later) which we purchased last summer. It couldn't have been more perfect to me, in a place which is really special to us both, and has been our labour of love since 2024!
As the ring was a custom made emerald cut, I didn't actually receive it or try it on until the 21st of March, so this is the date we have been using to tell friends, family & colleagues etc.- but officially & technically it was valentines day.
It's been a bit of a whirlwind since the news broke out, as we have both been struck down with quite serious flu, which we are still both recovering from so haven't been able to celebrate with our friends and family as we had hoped but the engagement itself was perfectly planned out and I couldn't be happier with the ring.
We will be planning a get together with our loved ones in the summer once our garden has been finished off in our new house, so will make sure I share this next chapter then.
Look forward to updating you all this year on our wedding plans & all my ideas. We are both quite laid back and want to do an abroad wedding, so I will be making sure I document all my ideas on here first for you to read all about it. But for now here is the most important photo.... the ring! :)
