Guest Post||'Tips to make the most of Travel with your friends'

Coupling friends with travel might seem as natural as coupling girls with make-up, or movies with popcorn. They say, if you want to know your 'buddies' deeply then you need to walk a mile in their shoes. Travelling with friends not only pack your mind with beautiful moments but also strengthens the bond amid you and your 'pals'. Want to spend quality time with your 'besties' in an exotic location... here's what you should remember before packing your bag.

Choose the right people

Select friends with same interests and budgets. The topic of money usually comes up inevitably when you plan a trip with friends. Discuss clearly, about all the expenses before making any final decisions. Secondly, if you're adding new members in your travel group, ask upfront about their travel habits.

The size of the ground matters a lot.

While forming a travel group, keep the size in mind. As a general rule odd numbers (for example a group of three), is not a good idea as one of your travel buddies may feel left out at some point during your trip. If travelling within a larger group, why not split off into twosomes? that way, you can enjoy things independently and within the whole group as well.

A group itinerary is a must!

When travelling with companions, a good amount of time can be wasted trying to find out what to do, after reaching your designated place. Discuss this with the group early. Instead of waiting until you land to plan your itinerary, devote some good time prior to departure. You can easily plan an itinerary by doing what each group member wants to do. This wish list will help you to enjoy every single moment of your trip, without any stress.

Select accommodation carefully...

When it comes to booking a hotel, it can be enticing to save some money by packing the entire group into a premium room rental. Just image the situation before booking a place to stay. Also try to understand the difference between numbers of people verses the size of the rooms.

Elect a group leader

We've all had that experience within a small, or big group: an irresolute moment when no one wants to take the responsibility and no one want to impose their likes on other members. Shun this trap by nominating a 'leader' who can take decision smoothly and gather enthusiasm for the day's activities.

Pack light

Try not to pack the entire planet in your bag. Remember, you will be travelling with a group, and space will be limited in vehicles and rooms. Discuss about your luggage weight with your companions prior to your trip. Make sure you have a clear idea about what others are packing, and what expectations exist in terms of sharing each others things.

Power Off

Here we are talking about your gadgets. Put all social media posts, voicemail's and messages on hold, and try to enjoy every single moment with your 'besties'. If you are stuck on your phone, round the clock your 'buddies' will think your social media activities are more important than their company, and your trip. Try to avoid this and you will have a happy and safe journey!
